So you want to join a gym? You may have a membership somewhere, maybe a family membership or an all hours access at a gym open all hours.

But you’re looking for something more personal.

Somewhere where there is actually accountability to turn up.

Somewhere that shows you what to do and how to get the best results.

Somewhere that you feel like you belong. Where everyone is encouraging and you don’t feel like you’re the only one that can’t do it.

I believe that FitterFaster is that place for you. So I’ve answered some of the most common questions from people who are still in the ‘checking it out’ or ‘shopping around’ phase.

IS IT EXPENSIVE?

If you’re shopping around on price alone, we may not be for you. To be totally honest, I have absolutely no idea how our prices compare to other facilities.

But what I do know is that we provide a service second to none. Our entire team has been in your shoes – making that first ever decision to join a gym (they chose FitterFaster), transforming their bodies and going on to make health and fitness just part of what they do.

We hold regular staff meetings and trainings to ensure that we all provide the absolute best training and support possible so that you can achieve the results you want and maintain them.

All of our prices are on the website. You can check them out here PRICES AND PACKAGES We have nothing to hide and know that our packages and prices are great value.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I ASK FOR MORE INFORMATION? – I don’t want some pushy sales pitch thrown at me .

One thing I will NOT do is ever call you (unless you ask me to) or send you 1000 messages to join. If you fill out your details below or text/email me, I will simply send you some information (via mail/text or email) and then give you a few days to check it out.

If I don’t hear back, I’ll send another email or maybe a text message to see if you have any questions. Then if I dont hear back after that, I’ll simply add you to my newsletter list upon which you can unsubscribe any time. No calls, no crazy automated DMs. Just the information you ask for.

I DON’T KNOW WHAT I’M DOING WHICH MAKES ME NERVOUS

If I had a dollar for every person that has said they’ll be the most unfit person there, I’d be a millionaire (well almost)

Our specialty is working with those that have not exercised before or who haven’t in a long time.

Of course we have loads of super fit people here, that’s what we do, but almost all of them started from where you may be right now. There’s no ‘too unfit’ to start at FitterFaster. We have an extensive Rookie program that will build your fitness progressively and at your pace.

I SEE PEOPLE DOING ALL KINDS OF STUFF ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS. WILL I HAVE TO DO THAT TOO?

Yes and no. You never ‘have’ to do anything. We’re not into ‘fancy stuff’ just because it looks cool on social media. Every single exercise in our training sessions is there for a purpose. That purpose depends on the goals clients’ what to achieve : lose body fat, increase fitness, build muscle, tone/shape, reduce risk of common lifestyle diseases like heart disease, diabetes and cancer etc.

We never add an exercise just because it looks awesome or just to make it harder. If we ask you to do something, it’s because it’s going to help you to reach your goals.

WHAT IS GROUP PERSONAL TRAINING? HOW DOES IT WORK? DO WE ALL DO EVERYTHING TOGETHER? DO I GET AN INDIVIDUALISED WORKOUT? WHAT ABOUT INJURIES?

Group exercise to you may have many different meanings. This is what it means at FitterFaster:

Firstly, it involves personal training in a group. So that means that although there is a planned workout for the whole group, each person within that group may be doing different exercises IF they need to.

For instance. Someone may have a rehab program from their Physio for an injury they’re getting over. We can include those exercises in our workout for you before you progress back to the full workout.

Or if you have a particular injury or condition that means you are actually unable to do some exercises either temporarily or long term, you will be given alternatives to work your body in a similar way without causing any further harm.

Our coaches do NOT take part in the workouts with you. We are supervising the training session the whole time. Not just watching the clock, but making sure that every participant is using correct technique and working hard to improve no matter what stage or fitness level they are at.

HOW SORE AM I GOING TO BE? I’VE HEARD SITTING ON THE TOILET IS GOING TO BE TORTURE!

The toilet thing is a bit of standard joke around here. In fact, at least one person will probably say it to you at your first sessions.

It’s actually not a joke though. While you will be sore if you haven’t done anything too physical lately, (or even if you have) we will work to keep this to an absolute minimum.

Remember the Rookie program I mentioned above? One of the main goals of our Rookie program is to build you up slowly to reduce muscle soreness AND prevent injury. We spend more time making sure you’re doing everything properly , you’ll be given extra rests and lots of modified exercises. Then we slowly build you up over time. If you’re so sore you can’t do your normal daily stuff, why would you want to come back!!

I HAVE KIDS, CAN THEY COME?

Absolutely yes they can. We do not have a creche or a baby sitter on hand, however we have a big playground for your kids. They are also welcome to play on the fully fenced basketball court where we do our outdoor training.

Once they see the ride-on toys, the sandpit, the slide, cubby and trampoline they’ll be occupied completely. Babies can stay in prams too and our coaches all love to give them a push about if needed while you train.

For younger crawling and walking babies and toddlers, we have a large playpen complete with toys as well that we can set up if your training session is indoors. We just ask that you let us know in the morning if you’re bringing your children via text so we can set up ready if the class is indoors.

I’M A MEMBER OF ‘X’ GYM BUT I JUST DON’T GO. I’M WORRIED I’LL BE WASTING MY MONEY AGAIN

I’ve lost count of the number of people that contact me saying they have a gym membership but they don’t use it. A small gym/fitness facility should have some accountability, because if we’re honest with ourselves, we just don’t feel like it sometimes.

At FitterFaster, you will get a message if you missed a booked training session. And if you stop booking and don’t attend, I’ll be messaging you to check in. You may have a legitimate reason for your absence, but if not, you’re going to have to tell me that. I will never ‘tell you off’ or give you grief over it. But just knowing that I’m checking is usually enough to get you to your training regularly.

And when you want to see results, you do have to be consistent.

I DON’T KNOW ANYONE AND AM SCARED PEOPLE WILL JUDGE ME

The most common feedback I get from new clients is how welcoming and supportive everyone is, even when they didn’t know anyone.

Our clients are amazing and they all remember their first classes and how scared and nervous they were.  They’ll jump in and say hello and will help you as you go.  No one is ever judging where anyone is with their progress.  

At your first classes, the coach will pay special attention to make sure you are never feeling like you don’t know what to do.  We’ll pair you up in groups with another coach too if one is training in the group for extra support.  

I can honestly say that this is one part of our program that sets us apart.  Plus you’ll meet me first too during your initial consult and assessment.  I’ll show you around and explain how it all works so you’ll have a bit of an idea before you even arrive to train.
